Downtown museum in Rome. Admission is free. History begins after the Indians have left the area or been removed. It tells about the men that began the museum where 2 rivers come together to form a third river. There is a riverboat exhibit about the boats that sailed the river. There are stories about trains. Stories about all the war efforts that Rome was involved with. The first phones were discussed with an exhibit. There was a lunch counter that demonstrated the effects of civil rights. Some memorabilia of movie projectors and student classrooms. The museum was very well done and I was told it was ever changing.

We got to the Clock Tower Museum at 09:30am and it was very quiet, staff advised a time of 45 minutes to attend each of the four floors of the Museum ending with the viewing deck. As with most Museums in Saudia Arabia this is not enough time to see and read each display but as we were attending early in the morning the staff didn't enforce the time limit and we were largely left alone to take our time.
The Museum is well thought out with Quran references aswell as detailed Arabic contributions to Astronomy and the Sciences.
There is also a time limit on the viewing deck but again as it was dead in the morning we were not ushered out and could take our time, you can see for miles and map on the railings is great for pointing out points of interest. Ending on the views was a great touch!

Berry is stunningly beautiful. Main campus has the feel of a Southern university, with it’s beautiful traditional architecture and brick buildings and columns. There is SO much green space. The balance of green space to people was the perfect proportion for our family and felt just right, after visiting larger schools like Clemson and UGA. There are SO many ways to get outdoors and be renewed and refreshed by the beauty of nature. The mountain campus is really cool too, as is the older section of campus used primarily as housing, faculty offices, and some parts of the nursing and education programs. They have good dining hall options, great recreational facilities and options, and technology/learning spaces. They offer a wide range of majors, and their agricultural program (including animal sciences) is really good. We did a tour for prospective students and could not have enjoyed it more. Our tour guide was a current Berry student (an ambassador), and he did a super job of showing us the campus and helping us see what life at Berry was like. The students and staff are so down-to-earth and unassuming. We felt welcome and like we belonged. The staff were so helpful and kind. Now, our eldest child is enrolled and thrilled to become a Berry student.

House where Major Ridge one of the Cherokee leaders lived. One room talked about Ridge’s life before and after the Trail of tears. Another room had the different owners of the house, how they obtained it and the alterations/ remodeling done on the house. It is a good hour stop. It is a must see if you are studying Indian History. The attendants are friendly. A fee is charged.

Stop here for a late breakfast. Every homey nicely decorated restaurant. The waitress promptly sat me down in a booth. I chose a mediterranean skillet and hot chocolate. The skillet has hash browns, gyro, feta cheese, onions, tomatoes topped with 2 eggs and toast. I chose sunny side up eggs. Everything was delicious. They also have omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes and more. Definitely worth going here.
