High up in the hills of Madeira in Estreito da Calheta, set among vineyards with sea views beyond. Nestled between Calheta and Jardim do Mar and close to the Casa das Mudas Arts Center — about 35 minutes from Funchal and 50 minutes from the airport.

A historic 17th‑century quinta with 20 snug units: a main house (six en‑suite double rooms) and 14 cottages dotted around the pool and gardens, reached by a footpath through the vineyard. Rooms feature private balconies or patios, Select Comfort beds, refrigerators, microwaves, private bathrooms, hair dryers and safes; the main house keeps original charm with a chapel‑turned reading room, sitting room with fireplace and endless flowering gardens.

Splash in the swimming pool and outdoor pool, unwind in the massage room, browse the library or grab a drink at the bar — family‑friendly with a children’s playroom and a tour desk for local excursions. On‑site parking and complimentary Wi‑Fi are available, and staff speak several languages to help plan your stay; expect vineyard strolls and sea‑breeze mornings.
