Monte da Rosada

In the small village of Arcos, about 6 km from Estremoz’s centre and a short drive to the castle-lined old town. Close to Estremoz Handicraft, the Royal Palace & Torre das Três Coroas and local museums, this rural hotel is a handy base for exploring Alentejo.

Housed in a restored farming headquarters with an old winery, Monte da Rosada blends Alentejo-style cottages and antique-lined rooms with modern touches. There are 11 air-conditioned guestrooms — some open onto the garden and pool — with satellite TV, minibars, bathrobes and simple, neat décor that nods to the region.

A huge outdoor pool sits in a shady garden with terraces and a barbecue area, plus a bar and poolside bar for slow afternoons.
