The Gallery Self catering

On South Africa’s southern coast in Franskraal at 15 Elana Cres — a self-catering, family-friendly base about an hour from Cape Town International Airport. Roughly 20 minutes from Danger Point Lighthouse and close to the African Penguin & Seabird Sanctuary, shark-cage diving, wine farms, abalone and mountain-bike venues, plus the unspoiled white-sand Franskraal beach.

Four open-plan units each have private access and parking. Units feature a kitchenette, built-in BBQ, an ensuite queen bedroom and walk-in shower; one unit sleeps 2 adults and 1 child, while the full house accommodates 8 adults and 4 children. The main kitchen is fully equipped with a double-door fridge, gas cooker, oven and island, and a scullery with washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher.

Private parking, built-in BBQs, in-unit kitchenettes and laundry facilities make self-catering effortless. Expect sea-breeze mornings and easy access to local tours like shark-cage diving, penguin and seabird encounters, and nearby wine-tasting.

Each kitchenette is outfitted with a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, cookers, air fryer and full crockery and cutlery for family meals. The large house kitchen and island are perfect for group cooking and BBQ nights after a day on the beach.
