Intu Africa Suricate Tented Kalahari Lodge  

Deep in Namibia’s Kalahari Desert, this secluded safari lodge sits in the Kalahari Savannah with views over the Auob river pans and nearby waterhole. Reachable south from Windhoek via the B1, then the C1 and a final turn onto the D1268.

The property comprises 11 walk-in style tents tucked into the grassy pans. Each tent has twin beds, mosquito netting, a mini-bar and an in-room safe, plus a private deck and an intimate open-air bathroom with hot and cold running water, flush toilet and shower. Laundry service is available.

An inviting pool and an African-style lounge overlook the pans and pool deck. Guests can explore the Kalahari in open 4x4 vehicles or join guided walks with Bushman trackers and trained guides. On-site conveniences include a restaurant, lounge bar, a safe-deposit box and an elevator/lift.

The lodge features an on-site restaurant and a lounge bar set in an African-style space that looks out over the pans and pool. It’s an easy spot for relaxed meals and evening drinks after a day of safari.
