Kwalape Safari Lodge

On the edge of Kasane between Kazungula and Kasane, Kwalape Safari Lodge is a safari-base close to Chobe National Park and the Chobe River. About an hour from Victoria Falls and roughly 1 km from the meeting point of Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Nearby points include Mowana Golf Course, Impalila Pier, Impalila Conservancy and the CARACAL Biodiversity Center.

Built of canvas, wood and thatch, the lodge blends into lush bushland for a relaxed, back-to-nature vibe. There are 24 guestrooms: 12 chalets with spacious living areas, en-suite bathrooms and private verandas, plus 12 safari tents and camping for overland groups. The main thatched restaurant and bar sit on an elevated deck ideal for sundowners, and a boma hosts starlit meals; Kwalape means 'at home' in Setswana.

Take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool or unwind at the poolside bar and two lounges. On-site facilities include a gift shop/newsstand, area shuttle (surcharge), free self-parking and limited-hours room service. The lodge also offers camping support and communal spaces for sharing travel stories.
