Stoos Lodge  

In car-free Stoos, in the heart of Central Switzerland — a true mountain lodge next to the top station of the world's steepest funicular. Park in the valley and ride up the record-breaking funicular; Stoos is only accessible by mountain railway. Nearby attractions include the Swiss Transportation Museum, Lucerne Arts Museum and the Lucerne Congress and Events Centre. Pet-friendly and family-friendly, with ski-to-door access for winter sports.

Rooms are air-conditioned and modern, each fitted with a tablet, flat-screen TV and a desk. Bathrooms include complimentary toiletries and hair dryers, and housekeeping is available on request. The vibe mixes alpine practicality with relaxed spa touches — think sauna and a small wellness area to unwind.

Big on family fun: a large indoor fun park with ball pool, trampoline, climbing wall and slides, plus a kids' playroom and teen recreation area with pool table and games consoles. Fitness lovers get a top-floor gym, two saunas, steam bath and a relaxation room (some services extra charge). On-site extras include a bar, restaurant, digital self-check-in, laundry, ATM and ski-to-door access.

Ten conference rooms of various sizes are available by reservation for events (extra charge). Free Wi‑Fi throughout and in-room desks make it easy to work between mountain adventures.

The restaurant offers a rich breakfast buffet (extra charge) from 7:30–10:00 and hot meals from 11:30–20:30 with pizza, pasta, grill specialities and a large vegetarian and vegan buffet. Bar Blau is cosy for après-ski drinks or a relaxed evening tipple.
