Kosi Forest Lodge  

Tucked into the sand forests of Maputaland, Kosi Forest Lodge sits fenced inside the iSimangaliso Wetland Park near Manguzi (uMhlabuyalingana). The lodge is on a lake and just minutes by foot from the wetland park, about 5 km from Manguzi town center and within easy reach of Rocktail Bay and Maputo National Park.

This intimate, 16‑bed boutique lodge places thatched bush suites beneath shady trees for privacy. Rooms have low wooden walls, mosquito netting, roll‑up canvas blinds and private patios. The standout touch is the romantic open‑air en‑suite bathroom set in white beach sand and enclosed by a reed boma. The lounge, dining room and bar spill onto a large wooden deck beneath an enormous Zulu Podberry tree.

Enjoy an outdoor pool, terrace and garden, plus a bar and restaurant with much dining alfresco under Albizia trees. There's a tour desk for excursions, gift shop/newsstand, laundry and dry‑cleaning, private transfers and free self parking. Babysitting and some services incur a surcharge. Wake to forest and lake sounds and relax in a low‑key, nature‑first setting.
