Peaks of Otter Lodge

On Milepost 86 of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Bedford, Virginia. Nestled between two of the Peaks of Otter, the lodge sits on Abbott Lake with Sharp Top mountain as its backdrop and is steps from Jefferson National Forest and the Peaks of Otter Recreation Area.

This historic mountain lodge, completed in 1964, offers 63 air‑conditioned guestrooms and serves as the flagship visitor concession on the Virginia stretch of the Parkway. Rooms include cable TV, coffee/tea makers, shower/tub combinations, hair dryers and daily housekeeping. Note: the property is closed for the season from November 5 to April 26.

Terrace and common areas overlook Abbott Lake and Sharp Top. Onsite features include a gift shop/newsstand, picnic area, wedding services and tour/ticket assistance. Complimentary Wi‑Fi keeps you connected—wake up to lake reflections and crisp mountain air.

Meeting facilities are available for small groups. Free self‑parking is provided onsite and complimentary wireless internet is available throughout the property.

A full‑service restaurant and a bar/lounge overlook Abbott Lake. Buffet breakfasts are served daily from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM for a fee, and a grocery/convenience store is on the property for light needs.
