Fattoria di Fubbiano

On a south-facing hillock above Capannori, Fattoria di Fubbiano is a restored 135-acre estate of vineyards, olive groves and woods. It’s minutes from Pinocchio Park, Villa Garzoni and Villa Mansi, with Lucca, Pisa and the Versilia coast all an easy drive. The property is pet-friendly and feels like a true Tuscan farm stay.

Original stone buildings have been faithfully restored into four guestrooms and several apartments, many with private balconies or patios. Rooms feature fireplaces, flat-screen/Digital TVs and kitchens with full-size refrigerators, freezers and stovetops. Expect rustic-chic décor, handmade local touches and estate-grown character—sheets and towels are provided and changed weekly.

All guests share access to the round outdoor pool (8 m), plus terraces, gardens, picnic and barbeque areas. The estate includes an attached winery and a farm shop selling award-winning extra-virgin olive oil and DOC Colline Lucchesi wines. Weekly wine tastings, tour/ticket assistance and the option to hire a cook for local meals round out the experience.

Complimentary wireless internet is available on the property. Practical extras include free self parking, luggage storage and laundry/ironing services; staff can help book local excursions.

Taste estate wines at weekly wine tastings and pick up award-winning extra-virgin olive oil and Colline Lucchesi wines at the farm shop. On request the estate can arrange a cook to prepare traditional Tuscan dishes using local ingredients.
