Perched in Capileira, in the heart of the Sierra Nevada National Park — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The hotel sits opposite the village church and is minutes from Poqueira Gorge and local hiking trails. Granada and the sun-dusted Costa Tropical are about 1.5 hours away; the Sierra Nevada ski resort is roughly 2 hours. Nearest airports: Granada (~93 km) and Malaga (~150 km).

A restored village house turned 3-star mountain hotel, Hotel Real de Poqueira blends traditional Alpujarran style with modern basics. There are 19 guestrooms in three types — Superior (two beds), Standard (double or two beds) and Economy (double) — plus a room adapted for guests with disabilities and two elevators. Rooms offer air conditioning, heating, flat-screen TVs, private bathrooms (bathtub or shower), desks, electric kettles and hairdryers. Cots and extra beds are available for a fee. Wi‑Fi reaches throughout the property.

Take a dip in the seasonal outdoor pool set in a garden with mountain views, or catch sun on the terrace and solarium. The hotel also has a communal living room, library and picnic area.
