In the Cortonese countryside near Cortona — an ancient mill turned inn beside the Esse stream in Montanare. A rural retreat about 7 km from Cortona town center and roughly 19 km from Lake Trasimeno, within easy drive of Santa Maria delle Grazie and Cortona Cathedral. Pet-friendly and peaceful, yet close to local sights like Parterre Garden and Teatro Comunale Morlacchi.

Eight romantic rooms, each uniquely furnished with wrought-iron or upholstered beds and rustic or antique pieces. Rooms overlook the small Esse creek, so you may fall asleep to the sound of waterfalls. Expect minibars, plasma TVs, private bathrooms with rainfall showers, bathrobes and slippers. Check-in from 2 PM; property closed Nov 15–Mar 1.
