Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge  

Set in the World Heritage–listed Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park, this alpine lodge sits beside a lake and is minutes from the Enchanted Nature Walk and Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre. The drive is roughly 2 hours from Launceston and 1.5 hours from Devonport. A family-friendly wilderness escape for walkers and nature lovers.

Eighty-six individually decorated timber cabins and suites nestle across 23 acres, many with gas heaters or log fireplaces and some with private balconies or spa baths. Rooms include tea and Plunger coffee facilities, minibars, fridges, Bluetooth speakers and cosy sitting areas. The lodge is warm and inviting with open fires, comfy chairs and postcard views.

Waldheim Alpine Spa offers massages, facials and body treatments plus a steam room, sauna, large hot tub and a cool plunge pool. Explore more than 20 walking trails, hire bicycles, try horseback riding or fly-fishing, then unwind in the guest lounge with a pool table.
