TAKUMINO YADO YOSHIMATSU  

Perched on a hillside above Lake Ashi in Hakone, Takumino Yado Yoshimatsu serves up sweeping views of Mt. Fuji and the lake. It’s about 60 minutes from Odawara Station by bus, roughly 10 km to the city center and 104 km from Haneda Airport.

This traditional Japanese inn (ryokan) offers tatami-style rooms and select rooms with private open-air baths. A quiet Japanese garden showcases seasonal change, and many rooms frame lake- and mountain-scapes — perfect for waking to lake-mist mornings.

Communal open-air onsen baths fed by Hakone hot springs and rooms with private open-air baths are highlights. Standard room amenities are provided, room service runs from 7:30 to 21:30, and on-site car parking is available (payable).

Meals are served in-room; dinner is a traditional kaiseki multi-course experience using seasonal local ingredients selected by the chef. Guests planning to dine should check in by 6:00 pm.
