Set in the historic village of Upper Hersonissos, just 200 m from the picturesque village square and about 2 km from the golden beaches. A quick 5-minute drive lands you at Star Beach Water Park and nearby Port of Hersonissos; Heraklion city is 26 km away and the airport about 23 km. Reopened and refreshed under new ownership in 2021, Mitos Village mixes renovated common areas with traditional island character. Two buildings house the rooms: 18 classic rooms (around 47.5 sqm) and 11 traditional or family rooms with one- or two-bedroom layouts and living areas. Rooms come with a fridge, TV, Wi‑Fi, kettle, hairdryer and private bath; many offer balconies or terraces and sea/mountain views. Light, relaxed vibe with a pool that looks out to the Cretan Sea and nearby mountains. Reception has limited hours; cleaning is three times a week and towels change twice weekly.

Outdoor swimming pool overlooking sea and mountains, fitness center, poolside bar, coffee shop and picnic area. Onsite services include laundry, dry cleaning and luggage storage, plus free self-parking and a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge. Complimentary Wi‑Fi is available throughout the property.

Minotaur Restaurant Outdo serves buffet meals and hosts a bar/lounge; a coffee shop/cafe and poolside bar keep things casual. Complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily (fresh local ingredients and homemade sweets), and the hotel offers dinner options that highlight authentic Cretan flavors. Plenty of nearby taverns and beach bars for evening cocktails and more regional dishes.
