In the quiet heart of Richmond, Hobart — a short walk from the famous Richmond Bridge, Richmond Arms Hotel and the Old Richmond Courthouse. The cottages sit steps from Richmond’s main street, lined with dining, antiques and Tasmanian craft shops. Family-friendly, historic and National Trust registered, the property dates back to 1830 and was built from local convict brick.

Three purpose-built cottages sit in sun‑filled gardens: Lady Esther Cottage (two‑storey family unit, sleeps four), The Retreat (one bedroom plus lounge, sleeps two–three) and The Cellar (studio, sleeps two). Rooms feature kitchenettes with refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves and coffee/tea makers, plus flat-screen TVs and DVD players. Comforts include reverse‑cycle heating/cooling and electric blankets, with limited housekeeping provided.

Wake up to garden views from a terrace or picnic area and relax in the peaceful grounds. Complimentary Wi‑Fi, free on‑site self parking and luggage storage are available, along with a safe‑deposit box and tour/ticket assistance.
