Hotel La Canna  

In Rocca di Ciauli on Filicudi, part of the Aeolian Islands. This 3-star, pet-friendly hotel sits 50 m from the town centre and about 700 m from a pebble beach. Nearby sights include the port, the Neolithic village at Capo Graziano, Giafante rock and the Grotta del Bue Marino.

Housed in a restored traditional Aeolian house over three floors, the hotel keeps original terraces framed by Mediterranean vegetation. There are 14 rooms—standard rooms on the restaurant terrace and sea-view rooms with a balcony or shared terrace—each with A/C, heating, private shower, satellite TV, phone and in-room safe. The lobby features a fireplace, TV and a small library for laid-back evenings.

A panoramic freshwater swimming pool with a large sun terrace/solarium (open June–September) anchors the outdoor space. On-site features include a bar, coffee shop, laundry service, unattended parking and transfer service to/from the port on request. Expect sea-breeze mornings and easy, central access to island boats and beaches.

Buffet breakfast is served on the porch by the pool. The restaurant is open to external guests with table service and an à la carte menu focused on Aeolian flavors, paired with regional wines.
