The Wayside and Whisky Barn  

On the west coast of the Lake District in Millom, Cumbria, tucked at the base of Black Combe and a short drive from the beach. About 7 km from Millom town centre and within a 10‑minute drive of Silecroft Golf Club and Millom Palladium. A pet-friendly, family-friendly guesthouse and a top base for walking, hiking, mountain biking and windsurfing.

Built around 1637 as Wayside Farm, the guesthouse blends historic character with home comfort and discreet service. All bedrooms are spacious with en suite bathrooms — rooms two and three have separate showers and large double‑ended baths, room one has a large bath with shower over, and the Annexe features oak flooring and a large cast‑iron bath. There’s a private path to Black Combe, plus washing/drying facilities and a bike wash pad.
