Jungle Lore Birding Lodge

Perched around 2,000 meters in the Himalayas, Jungle Lore Birding Lodge sits just about 4 km from Nainital’s city center and is steps from Guano Hills. You’re close to China Peak, Naina Devi Temple, Snow View Point, Nainital Lake and Naina Peak. The lodge is set in thick oak forest near Pangot and is famous as India’s first dedicated birding lodge — a base for trekkers and nature lovers.

This pretty, remote lodge has 35 individually decorated guestrooms with fireplaces and private balconies, plus bathrooms with showers and creature comforts like desks and separate sitting areas. Rooms feel like a warm Himalayan hideaway with daily housekeeping, cable TV and thoughtful touches such as bathrobes in some rooms. The property includes a garden, library and private sit-outs, and staff arrange local experiences and village visits.
