YHA Fremantle Prison  

On the grounds of Fremantle Prison in Perth — a UNESCO World Heritage–listed site. The hostel sits about 15 km from Perth city centre and is within walking distance of Fremantle Oval, the Mark of the Century and the John Curtin statue.

Stay inside a 1850s convict prison for a one-of-a-kind hostel experience. Sleep in original prison cells or choose purpose-built ensuite private rooms and perfectly preserved Victorian guards' cottages for extra comfort. Rooms include linen, individual bed lights and powerpoints; private rooms may have TV and fridge. The women's division now houses the YHA—history is on display throughout the property. Children are welcome but cannot stay in shared dorms; guests under 17 must check in with a parent or designated guardian.
