Shiretoko Iwaobetsu Youth Hostel

On the edge of Hokkaido’s Shiretoko area, in the town of Shari. A short drive from Shiretoko National Park Nature Center (about 4 minutes) and close to Shiretoko Goko, Frepe Waterfall and Utoro Onsen. Ideal base for exploring Shiretoko National Park and the nearby peninsula.

A small, practical hostel with 9 guestrooms. Bathrooms feature separate showers and deep soaking bathtubs, plus complimentary toiletries. Microwaves, refrigerators and room slippers are available on request, and housekeeping is provided on a limited basis.

On-site restaurant and designated smoking areas. Guest laundry is available and there’s a parking zone with free self-parking onsite. Winter visitors get access to a skiing area nearby. Steps away from park trailheads for easy days out.
