Agriturismo La Gioconda

Perched in the rolling hills of Vinci, this renovated agriturismo sits about 200 m from Leonardo da Vinci’s birthplace and a short drive from the Leonardo Museum. It’s a rural farm stay that’s pet-friendly and family-friendly, with free self-parking and easy access to local museums and sights.

The old farmhouse has been restored into seven air-conditioned rooms and several private-entry apartments. Rooms include refrigerators, flat-screen TVs, private showers with bidets and complimentary toiletries; cribs are available on request. Grounds feature a large garden with gazebos, tables, chairs and barbecue spots, plus an organic farm producing I.G.P. extra-virgin olive oil and a red IGT Chianti.

Take a dip in the outdoor pool, grab a bike for a countryside spin, or challenge someone to table tennis. There’s an attached winery, picnic and barbecue areas, a lobby fireplace, tour assistance for excursions, and seasonal experiences like joining the grape harvest in September.

Daily buffet breakfast is served from 8 AM to 10 AM (for a fee). Expect local Tuscan flavors on the farm—olive oil and house Chianti feature on-site—and plenty of casual options at the barbecue and picnic areas.
