Santa Maria Motel

In suburban Rotorua, about 2 km from the city center and a short hop to Redwoods Whakarewarewa Forest, Polynesian Spa, Government Gardens Golf and Racing Rotorua. Note: the Santa Maria Motel is now closed and the site has been leveled for future development.

Previously a compact, individually styled property with just eight rooms, many featured private spa tubs and private furnished balconies or patios. Rooms were fitted with Select Comfort beds and 32-inch LCDs with satellite. The property also offered a massage room, a small fitness area and a BBQ spot for guests.

Used to include an outdoor pool and a guest spa tub, babysitting/childcare (surcharge), tour/ticket assistance, and on-site laundry/dry cleaning. Free self-parking and complimentary Wi‑Fi were offered, making it a straightforward, family-friendly base for exploring Rotorua.
